Social Events between meetings can range from sporting events, live theatre, travel, visits to places of interest, to any other activity that the Social Committee wishes to organize. These are usually one time events, one per month generally, but you can participate in as many events as you wish!

Tuesday, April 15, 2025 – Easter Tea following the Membership Meeting – Hope Church, $10.00 for members ($20.00 for non-members). This is a subsidized event. Price includes sandwiches, scones, and sweets, and tea and coffee. Prizes will be awarded for the best Easter bonnet or gent’s Easter hat. Seating is limited based on space in the church hall. Wednesday, May 14, 2025 – Anything Goes, Shaw Festival Theatre, Niagara-on-the-Lake matinee performance - 8 am to 7 pm - Luxury Bus Trip from Port Perry Walmart leaving at 8 a.m. Lunch at 11 am at the Prince of Wales Hotel followed by Anything Goes. “Set sail on the S.S. American! This dazzling production breathes new life into Cole Porter’s timeless tale of romance, intrigue, and high-seas hijinks. Follow the delightful antics of Reno Sweeney, a spirited nightclub singer, as she navigates love triangles, mistaken identities and comical misunderstanding on a transatlantic
voyage. Featuring beloved songs like ‘It’s De-Lovely,’ ‘You’re the Top,’ and the showstopping tile number ‘Anything Goes,’ this fresh revival brims with spectacular dance numbers and non-stop laughter.” Cost is $192 including bus (407 and driver’s tip), lunch, and theatre ticket. NEW – Tuesday, May 27, 2025 – Our Natives’ Land with Ron Brown, a bus trip to Brantford at the invitation of Uxbridge Probus. $!89 for members and $199 for non-members. Depart Walmart in Uxbridge at 8 am. Enjoy a guided tour of the Mohawk Chapel, the oldest Protestant Church in Ontario, and the only Royal Chapel in North America. Built by the Crown in 1785, it was given as a gift of thanks to the Mohawk Indians, led by Joseph Brant, who had supported the British during the American Revolution. Lunch at The Olde School Restaurant Spend time at the Woodland Cultural Centre and learn about Indigenous history, culture, art, food, current issues, or material culture. Spend time at Iroqrafts for shopping, featuring books, moccasins, beadwork, and soapstone sculptures. Iroqrafts is the largest and oldest arts and crafts store on Six Nations offering the crafts of the Six Nations since 1959. Return to Uxbridge by 7:30 pm. SAVE THE DATE - NEW – Monday, August 4, 2025 – Celebration of Speed at Mosport (Canadian Tire Motorsport Park), 3233 Concession Rd. 10, Bowmanville – 9 am to 5 pm - Experience the exciting Grand Prix circuit as a passenger in an exotic car with a track-experienced driver. Vehicles may include Lamborghini, BMW, Mercedes, McLaren, Porsche, Corvette, Mustang. Tickets are $100 for 3 laps in 3 different cars. Trackside, additional 3-lap tickets may be purchased for $50. Anyone 10 years old (seat belt must fit) and up can co-pilot. Tickets are shareable and will be available online in early May. Great gift for Mother’s/Father’s Day.
